Is it possible to make an NRA ad funny?
Locke Bryan Productions was hired by Los Angeles based Four Eyed Films to work on a three video project for the NRA’s “Trigger the Vote” campaing.
The videos were posted and in less than 24 hours have over 60,000 thousand views on You Tube.
Director Gary Adler recently posted this news and we want to share with all of you.
Going Scouting
When it comes to shooting, there is a lot of preparation done before the day of the shoot. Casting is done, crews are booked, and production books are prepared. And in order to make sure everything is lined up and ready to go on Shoot Day, we head out to the location for a Tech Scout. The LBP Team, the DP, the Key Grip and Gaffer will walk through a location several days before a shoot to ensure shots are set up and the equipment needed will be available.
What's in a Word?

How do we get our creative juices flowing here at LBP? One of our many outlets is the letters that live on a desk in our office. How many words can you create using the letters in Wish and Love? Well… here is just a fun sample of what we’ve come up with at Locke Bryan. Enjoy.

Bert & Ernie go to Vegas
“Data Wrangling” takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to shooting on the Canon 5D, the Red Camera and other file based cameras. Instead of tape, we now shoot to CF cards that require downloading. The process breaks down like this: after every scene, the video from a CF card is downloaded. In order to back up the footage, the card is plugged in to a card reader attached to a computer.
We ALL Scream for Ice Cream!
It’s going to be a hot one in Houston this weekend and with that in mind, the LBP team was asked what their scoop of choice would be.

LBP recently had the pleasure of working with Pennebaker/FifthRing and the United Way of Greater Houston on the 2010 -2011 Campaign video, a very exciting and moving project. To watch the video, check out our home page and then read more about the shoot here.
Junk in the Trunk
Our office is a creative menagerie of very entertaining people. In the spirit of getting to know the team, I asked everyone around the office a few questions. And the answers were surprising; so I thought I would share a few with you so you could get to know our team as well!
Notes from Camille
As the incoming Vice-Chair for AAF-Houston, I was invited to attend the American Advertising Federation National Convention in Orlando, Florida earlier this month. Sunny Florida was a great place to meet new people in our industry and attend some outstanding workshops. This year’s theme was “Ideas at Work”. We explored the impact on advertising of social media, digital trends, generational differences and diversity.
Adventures In Casting
There is a lot of planning that goes in to a day of shooting. Weeks are spent scouting locations, scheduling crew and selecting talent. And so far, casting is one of my favorite parts of the planning process. It’s just like a big puzzle!
The LBP office has a large red work table and some days it is covered in lots of little faces. As members of the team pass through, they will say “must be casting day!”
