The Greek’s pick of the week!

After a dreadful plane crash Liam Neeson rounds up the unlucky few who survived, braving the cold and fighting off a vicious pack of wolves they will soon realize that the plane crash was the least of their problems. This movie was surprisingly better than what I expected it to be! I really wanted to see this movie mostly because it has Liam Neeson and he is just awesome in almost everything I have seen him in (IMO), but my jaw was dropped throughout most of the movie; it was that good. The Grey was everything I wanted it to be and more from a survivalist type film. The Grey did for the forest what Jaws did for the ocean. There are a lot of suspenseful moments here that keep you on your toes and you really do not know what to expect next, but beyond that it had heart and was full of emotion. The story for this movie is not anything new, in fact the movie itself makes note of that and kind of pokes fun at other survivalist movies like Alive. The beauty to this film is in its execution. It would be a shame for me to ruin this for you, so I will keep this review somewhat a spoiler free review. As a caution, this movie is graphic and at times can be quite scary; I know jumped in my seat more than I’d like to admit, but please do not let that stop you from seeing this movie. This film is truly a great movie, and I hope you enjoy just as much as I do. CHECK OUT THE TRAILER HERE -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRWF4cepn8U

Blu-ray picks of the week:

This is a great movie, but it is not for everyone. Do not be fooled by the commercials and expect a Fast & Furious type movie.

It’s a fun sci-fi movie from the director of Gattaca. I loved the world they built in this film I just wished would have worked on the script a little more.

If you are going to own this movie, this is the version to own. It has over 4 hours of special features.
